Combine the 2011 Mother's Day weekend with a troupe of extremely gifted singers, musicians and dancers and you have Opera Leggera's "There Ain't Nothin' Like A Dame" Concert. This is a musical tribute to women and it incorporates choice lyrical melodies and tunes, beautiful sets and period costumes that enhance and accentuate this dramatic tapestry of song.
Like other performing-arts facilities around the country, the Nathaniel Center is a place for actors, dancers and musicians to practice and present their talents. Unlike other centers, there's a moral theme to the work performed.
The $3.5 million Nathaniel Center for Cultural and Biblical Education in Kingwood opens its doors to Christian artists, performing troupes and anyone who wants to exhibit moral entertainment, executive director Vicki Sarvadi said. Sarvadi and her husband, Administaff co-founder Paul Sarvadi, established the center through their philanthropic Nathaniel Foundation.
After months of planning, remodeling and preparations, the Nathaniel Center for Cultural and Biblical Education is completed housing a unique bled of art, worship and Bible study.
The center held an open house on Saturday, March 16th inviting the community to see the new beautifully remoeled interior of their building located at 804 Russell Palmer Road in Kingwood.
The new exterior to the building now lends a reminder of jerusalem with beautiful pillars, foliage and water fountains. Inside, the warm beige and green colors are welcoming and present a professional, yet comfortable, venue.
